It is amazing. May 26th marked 3 months since we learned Sasha had cancer, again. The day of the re-diagnosis, Dr. N profusely apologized because going by what he saw on Sasha’s X-rays, he did not believe she would make it past a week, and he was going to be out of town during ‘that’ time.
The news was devastated and as sad and disappointing as it is for Sasha to be righting cancer again, we are very lucky that she is still with us, happy and full of life. There were a couple of weeks in March when we thought her time was up, but thank goodness we figured out what was going on, because since then, Sasha’s light came back and she continues to be her spunky self 
On Wednesday May 22nd, she received Palliative Radiation (posts on our experience with VSH Cary coming soon), and on Friday, May 25th, she received another dose of the vaccine (update coming in the next day or two).
After everything this girl has gone through, she remains as happy as ever and her spirit is unbroken. Sasha is a trooper and I am so proud of her.

Back in January, I ordered some cookies.
Cookies that resembled Sasha …
I could not help myself from ordering these sweet little treats…
We ordered three dozen cookies from Lori’s Cookies. We sent some to Dr. Mason and took some to our dogs’ vet’s office. Everyone thought they were very yummy!
Have you had cookies made to look like your pets, or made them yourself? I have to admit, it feels a little strange taking a real bite out of Sasha

A while ago I came across a tutorial to make dog collar flower accessories. I had every intention of giving these a shot when I purchased a sewing machine, but after the news we received about Sasha, I could not wait to get one an adorable flower for her and take some pictures. Of course if she got an accessory the whole gang would have to get something, so I ordered flowers for the girls and bow ties for the boys.
And here’s the gang, modeling.
Tommy and Argus had to share the large bow tie because Tommy removed the button from his!

Look, the pups can even wear their accessories while they take a nap. They should always be presentable, who knows where they might go in their dreams 
The flowers and bow ties I ordered were custom made. They are denim with a red button, because that is what I would have made if I made them myself. Aren’t they adorable? Ashley was also very quick at making and sending these to me. I received them within a week! We were not sure how long Sasha had, and she wanted to make sure I got the flower for her…isn’t that sweet?! I highly recommend her shop.
My pack usually only wear their collars. Do your pups wear any bow ties, flower collars, snods, etc??
