Earlier in the year I had posted about getting new windows vs a fireplace insert.  We made the decision to get new windows, and in February, these were installed.  Well, now that we have the new windows installed, we attempted to re-install the white faux wood plantation shutters and there is not enough space!  So, we need new window treatments!!  Right now our bedroom has one window uncovered and one window has a dog blanket as a curtain!  First we’d like to cover our bedroom windows and  the master bath.  The other windows can be done slower.  My predicament is if I should go with roman shades or curtains?!  I’m unsure about the options and like both ideas.  I would like the master bedroom to have a modern/contemporary feel yet relaxing.   The guest bedroom I want to feel comfortable and homie…I think an traditional/eclectic feel would be nice.  With our third bedroom, aka current office, I’m go between modern and traditional styles.  So, after all this, I haven’t a clue what we will be doing.  I’ll be looking for some inspiration.  I see a visit to Pinterest in my near future!

Has anyone done any window treatment updates?

Do you ever watch Divine Design with Candice Olson, I think she is on the hgtv channel. I love what she does to people’s spaces. If ever I wished to have a talent, decorating the way she does would be it.

I like the idea of roman shades but I could never really get into the curtain concept. All my windows have vertical shades but I love the idea of roman shades for the girl’s bedrooms.

    Thanks for the Pinterest tip!

You know, it has been a long time since I’ve watched a decorating show. I do enjoy them…I should watch some for more inspiration. I don’t have talent on decorating either = ( I wish I had more creativity. I do like curtains but think they look better depending on the room/house.
